Growing up on a
ranch in southern Idaho, Arizona-based artist, Rock Newcomb, developed a
love of nature and the beauty of his surroundings. Drawing from age
five, he went on to achieve advanced art degrees and taught art in the
public sector for many years prior to a full time, professional art
career. Favorite subjects to paint include Southwest still lifes,
landscapes and wildlife. Original paintings and prints are represented
by numerous galleries, including Wind River Gallery, Aspen, CO; Huey's
Fine Art, Santa Fe, NM; Big Horn Galleries, Cody, WY and Tubac, AZ; J.
Willott Gallery, Palm Desert, CA; Lovett's Gallery, Tulsa, OK and
Astoria Fine Art, Jackson, WY. Artistic accomplishments have been
acknowledged internationally through awards, juried and invitational
exhibitions, and numerous published articles by and about Rock.
Professional affiliations include signature member of Society of Animal
Artists and International Society of Acrylic Painters. Rock's work is
promoted and marketed by his wife and Business Manager, Cody.
